2015 Women's Tennis Players of the Week

April 13 - Hanne Andersen, Principia College
Andersen, a junior from San Francisco, Calif., went a perfect 6-0 on the week with three singles and three doubles wins. She started by blanking her opponents from Westminster and Blackburn in #1 singles play. She followed by beating Webster's #1 singles 6-2, 6-2. In addition Andersen notched three wins at #1 doubles with her partner Kelly Adams.

April 6 - Kelly Adams, Principia College
Adams, a senior from Plano, Texas, was on a roll this week in competition going a 4-0 in her matches. Adams picked up a 6-0, 6-0 win over Fontbonne at the #2 singles position and followed with an 8-0 blanking in #1 doubles. She continued her strong week with a 6-1, 6-0 victory at #2 singles over Greenville and added an 8-6 win in #1 doubles, teaming with Hanne Andersen for a come from behind win after being down 5-2 in the match.

March 30 - Monica Behrle, Webster University
Behrle, a freshman from Atlanta, Ga., is taking home her second Player of the Week award this season after going undefeated on the week with wins against Greenville College. Behrle notched a 8-0 win at the #2 doubles spot with teammate Jesse Stephen-Willis. She then picked up her eighth consecutive singles match win at 6-1, 6-0 at the #2 singles spot to improve to 23-6 overall this year.

March 23 - Marissa Lewis, Webster University
Lewis, a senior from Owasso, Okla., nearly had a perfect week as she won all four of her matches, dropping just one game. Lewis won 6-0, 6-0 over Blackburn at #1 singles and continued with an 8-0 victory at #1 doubles with partner Kaylen Kress. Lewis then won 6-0, 6-1 against St. Francis in singles play and picked up an 8-0 win in doubles action. On the season Lewis is 20-7 overall.

March 16 - Monica Behrle, Webster University
Behrle, a freshman from Atlanta, Ga., continued her impressive collegiate start as she went 5-1 last week including three singles victories. Behrle started the week with a 6-1, 6-0 win over Ohio Wesleyan at the #2 singles spot. Behrle then stepped up into the #1 position and notched two more wins, defeating Dickinson 6-1, 7-5 and Heidelberg 6-3, 7-5. In addition Behrle recorded two wins at #2 doubles. She is now 17-6 overall this season including 11-1 in singles play.

March 9 - Marissa Lewis, Webster University
Lewis, a senior from Owasso, Okla., had an impressive weekend on the court going 3-1 overall. Lewis won each of her singles matches and added a doubles victory. Against Lindenwood-Belleville Lewis breezed through her singles match with a 6-2, 6-3 win. She followed with a 6-0, 6-4 win in her team's match against Randolph. In addition Lewis teamed with Kaylen Kress to pick up a 9-8 double win.
