    Angie Carr, Wylie Mangelsdorf, and Marty Todt will join the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Hall of Fame as inductees of the Class of 2019. In addition, Matt Mitchell will receive the 2019 Lee McKinney Distinguished Service Award.

    The Greenville women's basketball team made their second appearance at the NCAA Division III national tournament and fell to George Fox 85-53 to end their record-setting season.
  • Greenville to Face George Fox in Opening Round

    The women's basketball team will head to the first and second rounds of the NCAA Division III tournament hosted by WashU in St. Louis, Mo.  The Panthers qualified for their second NCAA national tournament by winning the championship of the SLIAC tournament on Saturday. Greenville (23-4) has tied the school record established in 2016-17 for wins in a season, and they will play No. 11 George Fox (24-3) on Friday at 5 p.m. in Washington University Field House.

    The 2019 St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Championship game lived up to its billing as the top two seeds of the tournament, Greenville University and Spalding University, met on Saturday. The foes split the regular season matchup and the championship game was just as even with 11 lead changes and 4 ties. But after 40 minutes of play, it was Greenville that claims the 2019 SLIAC tournament title with a 72-66 win. 
  • Martin Caps Career as Player of the Year

    Alex Martin capped her career off at Spalding University as the 2018-19 St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Year, becoming just the second player in program history to take home the conference's top award.
  • Massner Named CoSIDA Academic All-District
    February 21, 2019
    The Google Cloud Academic All-District® Women's Basketball Team, selected by CoSIDA, was released this morning. For the second straight year, Darby Massner (SR/Mediapolis, IA) received first team honors. She was one of 37 student-athletes in NCAA Division III and was one of six individuals representing District 8.
  • Top Seeds to do Battle in Championship Game

    After missing out on the last two SLIAC Women's Basketball Tournaments Spalding University finds themselves in the 2019 Championship game where they will face Greenville University. Spalding, the #2 seed, defeated #3 seeded Westminster 75-67 in the first game of the night while top-seeded and host Greenville bested Webster University 68-65 in overtime in the night's second game.

    The 2019 SLIAC Women's Basketball Tournament field features the only four teams that recorded double-digit conference wins this season; Greenville University, Spalding University, Webster University, and Westminster College. It marks the first time since the 2015-16 season that at least four teams have reached that mark.

    In the final regular season game of the season, Kendahl Adams surpassed the 1,000 point mark in her two seasons as a Blue Jays while Kallee Dowler broke the single-season record for three-pointers.

  • Five New Members of Webster Athletics Hall of Fame

    Four student-athletes from the sports of women's cross country, women's volleyball, men's basketball, women's basketball, women's soccer and women's tennis and a longtime athletics administrator were inducted into the Webster University Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2019 in a ceremony Saturday night at the Sunnen Lounge in the University Center on the Webster University campus.

  • Woodard Joins 1,000 Point Club

    A historic evening for senior forward Wesley Woodard served as the backdrop for the women's basketball team's 84-27 victory over Principia.  With her third point of the game in the first quarter, Woodard reached the 1,000 point mark and eventually ended as Greenville's top scorer with 13 points in the game.

  • Massner Sets Tigers Three-Point Record

    Iowa Wesleyan hosted Spalding University yesterday afternoon, and Darby Massner (SR/Mediapolis, IA) etched her name yet again in the IW women's basketball record books.  Although the Tigers fell 68-49 to the Golden Eagles, Darby Massner sank three three-pointers to break the career record for three-point field goals made.
