April 20 - Daniel Drake, Principia College
Drake, a sophmore from Elsah, Ill., went 3-1 on the week as he played in a pair of dual matches. Drake won at #4 singles against Greenville, winning 6-3, 6-2 and then picked up a win at #2 doubles with his partner Jason Wissman. Drake added another win on the week in doubles, again teaming with Wissman, as they faced Missouri Baptist in a non-conference match.
April 13 - Nate Waters, Principia College
Waters, a senior from Menlo Park, Calif., won both of his matches last week while playing against Westminster College in a conference dual match. Waters won his singles match 6-0, 6-1 at the #3 spot. He added a win in #1 doubles with his partner Joey Sander by a score of 8-5.
March 30 - Jason Wissman, Principia College
Wissman, a senior from Westlake, Ohio, went 2-0 on the week with wins in both single and doubles action. Wissman started out with an 8-1 win at the #2 doubles position, teaming with Daniel Drake for the win. He continued with a 6-0, 6-0 blanking against Webster to go undefeated on the week.
March 23 - Nate Wieland, Greenville College
Wieland, a freshman from Mascoutah, Ill., had a busy and impressive week. Wieland won eight of ten total matches, going 4-1 in both singles and doubles. He started out with a come from behind win over Messiah at #1 singles. Wieland pulled out another come from behind win at #2 singles against Thomas and closed out with wins against Frostburg State and North Central. In addition Wieland added four wins at #2 doubles with his partner Demetrius Bush.
March 16 - Joey Sander, Principia College
Sander, a junior from Camarillo, Calif., had a busy week of spring break, playing in six matches. Sander returned to his home state and recorded four wins on the week including two singles wins. Sander's most impressive win came against regionally ranked opponent Cal Tech where he notched a 7-5, 6-4 victory at #2 singles. He followed with a 6-3, 6-2 win in the same spot against Hope International and added a pair of doubles wins against Biola and Hope. His only singles loss of the week came in a three hour long batttle against Biola, losing 6-3, 3-6, 7-6 (6).
March 9 - Code Power, Greenville College
Power, a junior from St. Louis, Mo., went undefeated over the weekend with both a singles and doubles win in his team's match against Franklin. Power won 7-5, 6-4 over Luke Snyder in singles action and followed with an 8-6 win at doubles with the help of Justin McDonald. Power improves his overall record this season to 4-1.
March 2 - Travis Blair, Webster University
Blair, a junior from Jerseyville, Ill., is this week's SLIAC Player of the Week after going 3-1 on week including a pair of wins at #1 singles. Blair started the week with an impressive 6-1, 6-3 win against North Central, accounting for one of two wins on the day for Webster. Blair followed with a 6-3, 6-2 win against Dominican, helping the Gorloks pick up a 6-3 team victory. In addition Blair notched an 8-4 win at #2 doubles in his team's win against Dominican.
