Greenville's Hodge Selected as NCCAA Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week

The NCCAA has selected Greenville junior goalkeeper Ian Hodge as its NCCAA Division I men's soccer defensive student-athlete of the week.

Hodge, of Pleasant Hill, Mo., played very well in all three games this week, keeping us in the Illinois College game so that we could get into overtime; the goal he gave up in regulation was a PK.

Then against a very good Rhodes team, Ian made 5 saves including one on a set pieces with 12 minutes remaining that saved the game, and then he backed that up with his second consecutive shutout less than 24 hours later.

He finished the week without conceding a goal in his last 195 minutes.
