  • Gorloks Golf Earns Special Recognition From GCAA

    The Webster University Men's Golf Team was one of only eight NCAA Division III programs to earn both an 18Birdies All-Academic Team honors as well as the prestigious President's Special Recognition from the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) as announced on Friday.

    The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference would like to congratulate the 193 student-athletes earning 2018 All-Academic honors. Athletes from baseball, men's golf, softball, men's and women's tennis, and men's and women's track and field were recognized. In order to be eligible, the student-athlete must be at least a sophomore, have been at their institution for one year, and hold a cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 or above.
  • Gorloks Season Concludes At Nationals

    The Webster University men's golf season came to a close here Wednesday afternoon after narrowly missing the cut by 13 strokes at the 2018 NCAA Division III National Championships to finish in 27th place overall with a 620 for 36 holes at the Grandover Resort.

    Webster University freshman Will Hocker (Grapevine, Texas/University of Oklahoma) made history Tuesday evening as he was named a First-Team Division III PING All-Central Region selection during the Golf Coaches Association of America banquet held following the weather-suspended first round of the NCAA Division III National Championships at the Grandover Resort.

    The NCAA Division III Men's Golf Committee has announced the complete field of 216 participants that will compete in the 2018 NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championships on May 15-18 at Grandover Resort in Greensboro, N.C. The championships will be hosted by Guilford College and the Greensboro Sports Commission.

    On October 14th, the Blackburn Men's Golf team hosted its own Blackburn Fall Invite.  Among the teams competing was conference teams: Iowa Wesleyan University, MacMurray College, and Fontbonne University.  The other team competing was Lewis and Clark Community College.  The tournament took place at Timber Lakes Golf Course in Staunton Ill.

  • Gorloks Open Year With Win

    The Webster University golf team had a tremendous start to the 2017-18 year with an impressive win at the Culver's Edgewood Fall Classic, on September 2 in Janesville, WI. The Gorloks shot a 293 in the second round to wrap up first place as Will Hocker shot a 69 to finish first in the field of 108 golfers.
  • Mathis To Take Over MacMurray Golf Programs

    MacMurray College is pleased to add Wade Mathis as the new men's and women's Head Golf Coach. Mathis earned his Bachelor of Arts in Management and Organizational Leadership from Illinois College and was a member of the varsity golf squad for four seasons.
