Irwin Named SLIAC Golf Player of the Week

Spalding University's Anthony Irwin is the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Golf Player of the Week for April 12. This is the second time this season that Irwin has won the conference weekly award.

Irwin, a senior from Louisville, Ky., placed 2nd individually at the Carnegie Mellon Spring Shootout, finishing the two-round event with a 146. Irwin made his move on the second day, shooting a par 70, one of just two golfers to card a par during the event. He finished just one stroke behind the overall winner. Irwin helped the Golden Eagles to a fifth-place finish in the field of nine teams.
