Principia College 'PANTHERS'

Principia has started the year with a 1-3 record, defeating Knox 89-76 in their season opener. However, since that win, the Panthers have dropped three straight. They are averaging 75.8 points per game this season, shooting 45-percent from the field while averaging 6.3 three's per game.

The Panthers duo of Micah Paulson and Trevaughn Goodman pace the offense. Paulson is averaging 29.3 points per game and is hitting on 44-percent of his three-point attempts. Goodman is an athletic guard that lives in the paint. He is averaging 27.7 points per game and shooting 60-percent from the floor while averaging a team-high 4.7 assists per game. Freshman Clark Davidson is the second tallest player on the team (6'5") and leads the team at 7.8 rebounds per game to go with his 7.0 points per game.

Spalding University 'GOLDEN EAGLES'

Spalding is off to a slow start after beginning the year with three straight losses. The Golden Eagles saw a four-point halftime lead disappear in their last outing, eventually falling 71-65 to Berea. Spalding is averaging just 52 points per game, although that is skewed after being held to just 36 points by Division I foe Murray State.

Marcus Montgomery is the team's leading scorer at 11.7 points per game while Dominique Ellis is just behind at 11.3 points. The Golden Eagles have struggled shooting from the outside this year, hitting just 25-percent of their three-point shots as a team. Robert Bendingfield is third on the team in scoring (7.3 ppg) and leads the team with 2.7 assists per game while Ellis and Troy Amanor are tied for the team lead at 5.3 rebounds per game.
