    Webster University senior second baseman Danny Strohm was named to the 2019 NCAA Division III Gold Glove Team by the American Baseball Coaches Association and Rawlings Sporting Goods on Wednesday night as the ABCA announced this year's Gold Glove Teams at TD Ameritrade Park during the NCAA Division I College World Series.

    Webster University and Concordia-Chicago renewed their rivalry here Friday afternoon in the first game of the best-of-three NCAA Midwest Super Regional at CUC Cougar Field and much like the previous three match-ups this season, Friday's game was another barn burner as the Gorloks scored the go-ahead run in the bottom of the seventh en route to posting a 4-3 victory over the top-ranked Cougars.

    For the fourth time in program history and first time since 2015, the Webster University baseball team is headed to the NCAA Division III World Series as the Gorloks pounded out a season-high 22 hits and scored 17 runs in posting a 17-5 win over top-ranked Concordia-Chicago to sweep the NCAA Midwest Super Regional best-of-three series here Saturday afternoon at CUC Cougar Field.

    Webster University will get to continue its baseball season for at least one more week as the top-seeded Gorloks picked up an 11-2 win over No. 3 seeded North Central (Ill.) College in the winner-take-all game of the 2019 NCAA Whitewater Regional at Prucha Field at James B. Miller Stadium to advance to next weekend's Super Regional round of the NCAA Division III Baseball Tournament.

    Webster University remained undefeated in the NCAA Whitewater Regional play here Saturday afternoon as the No. 1 seeded Gorloks used a six-run fourth inning, strong pitching from sophomore Sean Beaver (San Diego, Calif./Scripps Ranch) and then survived a late game rally by 12th-ranked University of Wisconsin-Whitewater to post a 7-5 victory over No. 2 seeded Warhawks at Prucha Field at James B. Miller Stadium to advance to the championship game of the double-elimination tournament.

    Webster University opened up play here Friday morning in the NCAA Division III Baseball Tournament by posting an 11-2 win over fourth-seeded Bethany Lutheran in the first game of the Whitewater, Wis., Regional hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and held at Prucha Field at James B. Miller Stadium.

    Webster University will begin its quest for an NCAA Division III Baseball title on Friday in Whitewater, Wis., as the Gorloks earned the No. 1 seed in the Whitewater Regional and will face No. 4 seeded Bethany (Minn.) Lutheran (23-16), who earned the at-large bid from the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference, in first round action at Prucha Field at James B. Miller Stadium on the campus of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. Game times have yet to be announced for this weekend's regional games.

    Webster University advanced to the 2019 SLIAC Baseball Championship game with two wins while Westminster College was eliminated on day one of the tournament. Greenville University and Spalding University each went 1-1 and will play in Saturday's first game to decide Webster's opponent.

  • Familiar Field in 2019 SLIAC Baseball Tournament

    The 2019 SLIAC Baseball Tournament has a familiar look as all four teams from the previous two tournaments return to chase the title this spring. For the first time in conference history, there are Co-Champions in baseball as Spalding will be the #1 seed from the East Division and Webster the #1 seed from the West Division. Greenville University, the host school, earned the #2 seed from the East while Westminster College will be the #2 seed from the West.

  • MacMurray Partners with Pony Colt and City of Jacksonville

    MacMurray College Athletics announced a new partnership between the college, the City of Jacksonville and the Pony Colt League of Jacksonville that will give the Mac baseball program a dedicated baseball field to utilize in both the fall and the spring. The announcement was formalized at a special dinner at Hamilton's on Sunday, April 28.

  • Summers and Hoevelmann Have Record Setting Day

    The Fontbonne University baseball team earned a split against Eureka on Saturday. The team took game one 5-0 but fell 11-5 in the finale. In game one, Luke Summers tied the all-time record in wins (17) and became the all-time leader in strikeouts (202). In game two, Jonathan Hoevelmann set the single-season record with 26 stolen bases.
