Spalding To Break Ground In Fall On New Athletic Fields

Spalding To Break Ground In Fall On New Athletic Fields

Spalding University formally announced Wednesday their plans to break ground on a $5.5 million athletic complex this fall.

The athletic fields complex will host the Golden Eagle men's and women's soccer and softball teams,  while featuring two soccer fields, a softball field, locker rooms, storage, and concessions, on 7.4 acres between Eighth and Ninth Street.

The complex will be a great addition to campus helping heighten the student-athlete experience, as well as the overall campus culture at SU.

The project is part of Spalding's $30 million capital campaign, which includes an emphasis on adding green space to the SoBro campus.
