Panthers Season Ends At Calvin (Nov. 9, 2018)
The women's volleyball team competed against NCAA Division III No. 1 Calvin in the first round of the NCAA tournament on Thursday night. The Panthers managed to keep up with Calvin in the first two sets, but Calvin separated from GU with a third set win as Greenville dropped the three-set match.....MORE

Greenville Men's Soccer Season Concludes With Loss To Calvin (Nov. 9, 2018)
The men's soccer team competed in the first round of the NCAA tournament on Friday at No. 4 Calvin and were defeated 4-0 in a match that featured show showers and temperatures hovering the mid-30's.....MORE

Blue Jays Fall To WashU (Nov. 10, 2018)
However you describe it, the result was a season-ending, 5-0 loss by the Westminster women's soccer team against the host school and No.1 seed Washington University in the NCAA Division-III tournament here on Saturday.....MORE

AROUND THE SLIAC

Blackburn College

Blackburn started their 2018-19 season with a 123-118 overtime win over St. Louis College of Pharmacy. The Beavers were led by Karson Hayes' 32 point effort while Raushaun Amos scored 22 points off the bench. Blackburn shot 54-percent from the field and knocked down 15 three-pointers.

Eureka College

Eureka dropped their season opener in men's basketball, 101-91 to Monmouth. The Red Devils led by one at halftime but allowed 59 points in the second half. Hank Thomas paced Eureka with 30 points while Dakota Bennington finished with 25 points. 

Fontbonne University

Fontbonne had 24 players earn SLIAC All-Academic Team honors this fall. In order to be eligible, the student-athlete must be at least a sophomore, been at their institution for one year, and hold a cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 or above. For a full list of honorees click HERE

Greenville University

The Panthers men's cross country team finished 20th out of a field of 35 teams at the NCAA Division III Midwest Regional last weekend. John Mangold completed the 8K course in a time of 26:24, pacing the way for Greenville. 

Iowa Wesleyan University

The return of Tigers cross country programs wrapped up over the weekend by competing in the Midwest Regionals. Sierra Howardson led the women's team with a time of 24:45 while the men's program was led by Joel Amor with a time of 29:07.

MacMurray College

The MacMurray College volleyball team hosted their annual Cystic Fibrosis Awareness Day back in September with fellow SLIAC schools. Proceeds from a silent auction as well as donations at the door allowed the Highlanders to raise well over last year's amount, raising over $1,600 for the Cystic Fibrosis Gateway Chapter in St. Louis.

Principia College

Paulson, a senior from Vancouver, Wash., was at the forefront of the Panthers offense in their first two games of the season. Paulson put up a high of 31 points against Millikin. In the two games, he averaged 29.0 points and 2.5 assists per game while shooting 59-percent from the floor. 

Spalding University

The Spalding women's basketball team will open their season with a pair of games this weekend in St. Louis, Mo. as they compete in the Webster Tip-Off Classic. Spalding will face Concordia Chicago on Friday night and Belhaven on Saturday afternoon.

Webster University

The Gorlok women's cross country team had a program-best 23rd place finish at the NCAA Division III Midwest Regional. Kalleigh Linthicum led the way for Webster with a time of 24:43, finishing 115th overall. 

Westminster College

Heidi Gundy was named to the District 5 First Team of the 2018 Google Cloud Academic All-District Women's Soccer Team as selected by CoSIDA. Gundy has earned a perfect 4.0 in her four years as a Blue Jay and is an exercise science major. She is also a member of the prestigious Skulls of Seven on campus.
