SLIAC Women's Tennis Tournament Preview (April 9, 2019)
Spring has arrived and so has the SLIAC Women's Tennis Tournament. This year's tournament is scheduled for Friday and Saturday at Dwight Davis Tennis Center in St. Louis, Mo. Six teams will compete for the 2019 Women's Tennis title......MORE

SLIAC Announces 2019 Hall of Fame Class (April 11, 2019)
Angie Carr, Wylie Mangelsdorf, and Marty Todt will join the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Hall of Fame as inductees of the Class of 2019. In addition, Westminster College's Matt Mitchell will receive the 2019 Lee McKinney Distinguished Service Award.....MORE

Drury Joins SLIAC as Corporate Sponso (April 12, 2019)
Drury Hotel has reached an agreement with the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference to become a corporate sponsor for the league.....MORE

AROUND THE SLIAC

Blackburn College

The Blackburn women's tennis team will be the #4 seed in the upcoming SLIAC tournament after going 2-3 in conference play this season. It is their highest finish in the standings in program history while their two conference wins snapped a 13 match conference losing streak entering the season.

Eureka College

The Eureka men's basketball team, along with their football team, will be honored prior to the Peoria Chiefs baseball game on May 2. Both teams captured conference championships this past school year. For more information visit eurekareddevils.com

Fontbonne University

Fontbonne senior Matt Tossick was awarded the SLIAC Post-Graduate Scholarship. Tossick, a member of the Griffins baseball team, carries a 3.9 cumulative GPA while majoring in Biology with a minor in Chemistry.

Greenville University

The Greenville softball team concludes their conference schedule with a doubleheader against Spalding on Saturday. The Panthers are currently 12-4 in the SLIAC and sit in 4th place in the standings, although they have the most conference wins. 

Iowa Wesleyan University

Temaine Wright has been named the new head coach of the Tigers women's basketball program. Wright comes to Iowa Wesleyan after previously coaching at Millsaps Community College and Schreiner University.

MacMurray College

MacMurray took two of three games in a series against Greenville over the last week. The Highlanders won the first game 5-4 and took the final game of the set 10-2. MacMurray will now have four straight road games as they head out on the road for doubleheaders against Westminster and Fontbonne.

Principia College

The Principia baseball team will embark on their longest road trip of the season this week. They have a three-game series against Spalding this weekend before heading to Blackburn for a doubleheader on Monday. They continue on the road next Thursday for two games against Lincoln Christian.

Spalding University

Spalding University officially broke ground on the building of a new athletic facility. The new complex will consist of two turf soccer fields (ready for competition in mid-fall 2019) and a softball field (ready by spring of 2020). The fields will be lighted and available for year-round usage.

Webster University

The Webster golf team shot a program record low round of 283 in the final round of the Rhodes College Spring Classic. The Gorloks' 5-under score marks the first time they have shot under par as a team in a round. Webster finished 6th overall at the event.

Westminster College

Heidi Gundy was awarded a SLIAC Post-Graduate Scholarship. Gundy, a senior women's soccer player for the Blue Jays, holds a 4.0 GPA and will be attending the University of Missouri: Sinclair's Accelerated Nursing Program after graduation from Westminster.
