Join The Fight: SLIAC Wide Coaches vs. Cancer Fundraiser (Jan. 23, 2018)
This weekend is the official kick-off for the 2018 St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) Coaches vs. Cancer fundraising event. This marks the third year that conference members have participated in a league-wide initiative to raise money for cancer research and cancer patients....MORE

SLIAC Game of the Week: Spalding at Iowa Wesleyan (Jan. 23, 2018)
The top defensive team in the SLIAC will go head to head with one of the top scorers in the league when Spalding University travels to Iowa Wesleyan University in this week's SLIAC Game of the Week. Spalding allows a league-low 73.1 points per game while Iowa Wesleyan is led by guard Brock Butler, who ranks second in the conference at 24.8 points per game.....MORE

Blackburn College

Blackburn College's Danielle Burnell was named to the 2018 Fastpitch News Preseason All-American Softball Second Team. Burnell hit .432 with 3 home runs and 33 runs batted in last season while earning First Team All-Conference honors.

Eureka College

Shea Feehan was named to the Team of the Week. Feehan put up back-to-back 40 point games last week, earning SLIAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week honors. Feehan is currently averaging 32.1 points per game and has moved into 7th place on Eureka's all-time scoring list. 

Fontbonne University

Over Thanksgiving week the Fontbonne University SAAC group joined with Operation Food Search to help local families in need of food. The Griffins collected 305 pounds of food, valued at over $500, which was enough to feed 76 people for one day.

Greenville University

With their four-game winning streak, the Greenville men's basketball team has moved into first-place in the SLIAC standings with an 8-2 conference record. In fact, the Panthers have won six of their last eight games and will be off for one week before returning to action next Wednesday with a road contest against Westminster.

Iowa Wesleyan University

Iowa Wesleyan University will hold a Fan Appreciation Day on February 3, 2018. The school is inviting the community to their men's and women's basketball doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m. There will be free entry with the donation of a canned food item and the first 100 fans in the door will receive a special Tiger Fan giveaway as well as activities and games in the Tiger Fan Zone for children. 

MacMurray College

The MacMurray women's basketball team tallied its second conference win of the season last weekend with a 85-81 win over Blackburn. The Highlanders outlasted the Beavers in overtime with three players recording over 20 points in the win. Liz Kruemmelbein led the way with 24 points while Shelby Frank and Aleysia Mason-Pavia each added 20 points.

Principia College

The Panthers are still trying to find some traction this season. Despite a 6-5 conference record, they have won back-to-back games just once this year and over the last six games, they have followed each of their three wins with a loss. They are coming off a loss to Webster and will head to MacMurray on Saturday sitting in a tie for 5th place in the standings.

Spalding University

The Spalding women's basketball team had a two-game winning streak stopped in a loss to Greenville on Monday. The loss puts the Golden Eagles at 4-5 in conference play, tied for 5th place in the standings. Spalding continues their three-game road trip this week with games at Iowa Wesleyan and Westminster.

Webster University

Webster University has announced the hiring of Ben Greenberg as their new Sports Information Director. Ben is a 14-year veteran of the athletic communications business. He has previously spent time with Florida Southern College, Arkansas Tech, Chicago State, and Texas State University.

Westminster College

The Blue Jays stopped a three-game skid with a 78-61 win over Webster last Saturday. After being held to just 26 first-half points the Blue Jays exploded for 52 points in the second-half to pick up a key conference win. Westminster is now 6-4 in conference play and tied for third place in the standings.
