SLIAC Pair Named NSCAA All-Region

A pair of St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference men's soccer players were named to the 2016 NSCAA NCAA Division III All-Central Region Team. Drake Trease, from Westminster College, earned Second Team honors while Joey Lesher, from Spalding University, was named Third Team.

Trease, a senior forward, tied for the SLIAC overall lead in goals with 14 including a conference best 10 goals in league play. He finished with 35 total points this season, netting four game-winners and was named First Team All-Conference.

 

Lesher, a senior defender, was named the 2016 SLIAC Men's Soccer

Joey Lesher

Defensive Player of the Year. He started in all 18 games for the Golden Eagles and led the team to six shutouts on the season.  Lesher was also valuable in the attack, recording six goals and ranking third in the conference with three game-winning goals.
