Greenville College's Lauren Finders, a junior from Murphysboro, Ill., has been named the SLIAC Volleyball Player of the Week for the week of October 27-November 2.

Finders, a 5-6 setter, had 114 set assists in three matches played last week. She also had five kills in 14 total attacks for a .286 attack percentage, three service aces, 21 digs and four block assists. Finders recorded 51 assists in a 3-1 victory versus Fontbonne University that helped secure a spot in the 2008 SLIAC Tournament for the Panthers. She also had 36 assists in a three-set win over Knox College.

Webster University's Abby Williams, a junior from St. Louis, Mo. (Incarnate Word), has been named the SLIAC Volleyball Player of the Week for the week of October 20-26.

Williams, a 5-7 setter, had 14 set assists, four kills in nine total attempts for a .444 attack percentage and seven digs in a four-set loss to Loras College. She is now averaging 4.68 assists per set, with 356 total assists in 76 sets played.

Fontbonne University's Kelley Lindsay, a junior from Columbia, Ill., has been named the SLIAC Volleyball Player of the Week for the week of October 13-19.

Lindsay, a 5-9 outside hitter, averaged 4.30 kills and had a .327 attack percentage in three matches played last week. She had 10 kills, five digs, three blocks and a .474 attack percentage in a 3-0 victory versus Westminster College (Mo.). Lindsay added 11 kills, 15 digs and three blocks in a 3-0 win over Blackburn College. Finally, she had a high of 22 kills, while recording 11 digs, three blocks and a .302 attack percentage in another victory versus Westminster (3-1).

Oct 6-12 Christina Speer Principia Sr Chesterfield, Mo./Principia Upper

Principia College's Christina Speer, a senior from Chesterfield, Mo./Principia Upper, has been named the SLIAC Volleyball Player of the Week for the week of October 6-12. This is the third time this season that she has earned the honor.

Speer, a 6-2 middle blocker, had only three errors in 84 total attempts in three matches played last week. She finished the week with 54 kills, 40 digs, six service aces and a .607 attack percentage. Speer had 16 kills, no errors and a .695 attack percentage in a 3-0 victory versus Westminster College. She then had 20 kills, one error, 13 digs, two aces and a .633 attack percentage in a 3-0 victory versus MacMurray College. Finally, she recorded 18 kills, two errors, 14 digs and a .516 attack percentage in a 3-0 win over Eureka College.

Principia College's Hannah Richards, a junior from Bellevue, Idaho, has been named the SLIAC Volleyball Player of the Week for the week of September 22-28.

Richards, a 5-10 outside hitter/middle, recorded 34 kills, hit .259 and tallied six service aces, 46 digs and four blocks in three matches played last week. She had 14 kills, 13 digs, three aces and three blocks in a 3-0 victory versus Eureka. Richards then had 14 kills, 19 digs, one ace and one block in a 3-1 win over Greenville. Finally, she had six kills, 14 digs and two aces in a 3-0 victory at Maryville.

Sep 22-28 Kylie Bahorik Eureka So Washington, Ill./Peoria Christian

Eureka College's Kylie Bahorik, a sophomore from Washington, Ill. (Peoria Christian), has been named the SLIAC Volleyball Player of the Week for the week of September 22-28.

Bahorik, a 5-8 setter, tallied 69 set assists, recorded 39 digs, 26 kills, six blocks, five service aces and hit .250 in four matches played last week. She matched her career-high in kills with 12 in a 3-1 victory versus Fontbonne University. In that match she also recorded 22 set assists, six digs, two service aces, two block assists and a .409 attack percentage, leading the Red Devils to their lone win for the week. Bahorik tallied her 12th and 13th double-doubles in 21 matches this season with 24 set assists and 13 digs in a 3-1 loss to Robert Morris College-Springfield and 13 set assists and 12 digs in a three-set loss to Lincoln Christian College. She also had 10 set assists and a match-high eight kills versus Millikin University.

Principia College's Christina Speer, a senior from Chesterfield, Mo. (Principia Upper), has been named the SLIAC Volleyball Player of the Week for the week of September 15-21. This is the second time this season that she has received the honor.

Speer, a 6-2 middle blocker, recorded 70 kills, 71 digs, 11 service aces and seven blocks in five matches played last week. She had 17 kills, 15 digs, two aces and hit .323 in Principia's 3-0 win at Maryville University (Mo.). Then at the very competitive Simpson Invitational, in which the Panthers went 0-4, she tallied double digits in kills in three out of four matches and double digits in digs in all four matches.

Speer had 14 kills, 11 digs and one block in a 3-0 loss to nationally ranked No. 8 University of St. Thomas. She recorded seven kills, 16 digs, two aces and two blocks versus Simpson College; she had 11 kills, 11 digs, two aces and one block versus College of Saint Benedict. Speer's best outing was a 21 kill, 18 dig, five ace and three solo block performance in a 3-1 loss to Wartburg College.

Webster University's Sarah Rusnak, a senior from Fenton, Mo., has been named the SLIAC Volleyball Player of the Week for the week of September 8-14.

Rusnak, a 6-0 middle hitter, led the Gorloks at the net with 10 solo blocks and 10 block assists, while also tallying 17 kills in three matches played last week. She had six kills, three solo blocks and five block assists in Webster's 3-1 victory versus Fontbonne in their SLIAC opener. She then had seven kills, three solo blocks and four block assists as the Gorloks completed the sweep over the Griffins with a 3-0 win. Rusnak also had four kills, four solo blocks and one block assists in a three-set victory versus Westminster.

Greenville College's Katelin Feyerabend, a sophomore from Quincy, Ill., has been named the SLIAC Volleyball Player of the Week for the week of September 1-7.

Feyerabend, a 6-0 outside hitter, averaged 4.87 kills per set, recorded a .345 attack percentage and added six digs and nine blocks in four matches played last week. She recorded double digits in kills in every match played, including a high of 25 kills in a five-set win over St. Louis College of Pharmacy. She had 17 kills and hit .452 in a three-set victory versus Knox College. Feyerabend also led Greenville with 19 kills and four blocks in a four-set victory versus Grace College (Ind.), and she had 12 kills in a three-set loss to Lincoln Christian College.

Principia College's Christina Speer, a senior from Chesterfield, Mo. (Principia Upper), has been named the SLIAC Volleyball Player of the Week for the week of August 29-31.

Speer, a 6-2 outside hitter, led the Panthers to a 4-0 record at the Sewanee Invitational. In 12 sets played she had 58 kills, a .505 hitting percentage, 35 digs, 10 blocks and four service aces. She had a double-double with 18 kills and 15 digs in a three-set win versus Oglethorpe University to open the season. Speer also had a double-double with 13 kills and 11 digs in another three-set win versus LaGrange College.
