Apr 20-26 Ana Hibbeler Fontbonne Fr St. Louis, Mo./Bishop DuBourg

Fontbonne University's Ana Hibbeler, a freshman from St. Louis, Mo. (Bishop DuBourg), has been named the SLIAC Softball Pitcher of the Week for the week of April 20-26.

Hibbeler, a left-handed pitcher, posted a 4-0 record in five appearances on the mound last week. She started three games, pitched two complete games and tallied two shutouts and two combined shutouts in 21.0 innings of action. Hibbeler, who did not have a single run scored against her, struck out 34 batters and allowed only six hits and five walks.

Hibbeler struck out eight batters in four innings of work in a 12-0 victory versus MacMurray College. She then pitched a complete game, giving up one hit, two walks and striking out five batters in a 6-0 win versus Westminster College. Hibbeler also added five strikeouts in four innings of relief work in a 7-6 victory at Eureka College.

The Griffins went 8-0 last week in conference play to finish 11-3 on the season and capture a share of the SLIAC regular season championship.

Fontbonne University's Katy Mueller, a junior from St. Louis, Mo. (Parkway South), has been named the SLIAC Softball Hitter of the Week for the week of April 20-26.

Mueller, an outfielder, recorded a .600 batting average in eight games played last week. She went 15-for-25 at the plate with 10 runs scored, five doubles, five RBI and was 6-of-6 in stolen base attempts. Mueller recorded at least one hit in seven of the eight games played and out of those seven, she had four multi-hit games.

Mueller went 4-for-4 with three runs scored, two doubles and one RBI in Fontbonne's 12-1 victory on the road at Blackburn College. She also went 3-for-4 with two runs and two stolen bases in a 6-0 win versus Westminster College and hit 3-for-4 with two runs, one RBI and one stolen base in a 7-6 road victory at Eureka College.

Greenville College's Lindsey Schuberth, a freshman from Blue Springs, Mo., has been named the SLIAC Softball Pitcher of the Week for the week of April 13-19.

Schuberth, a right-handed pitcher, recorded a complete game shutout to help the Panthers remain in a tie for first place in the conference at 5-1. In 7.0 innings of work she allowed only one hit and one walk, while striking out 14 batters as Greenville defeated MacMurray College 3-0. Schuberth also went 2-for-2 in that game, with one RBI and one run scored.

Apr 13-19 Kelsey Washam Webster Sr Lincoln, Ill./Lincoln

Webster University's Kelsey Washam, a senior from Lincoln, Ill., has been named the SLIAC Softball Hitter of the Week for the week of April 13-19.

Washam, a shortstop, collected 10 hits in 22 at-bats for a .455 batting average in six games played last week. She also had six runs, six RBI, two doubles, two home runs and one triple, while recording 14 putouts and 13 assists.

Washam hit a one out, two-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Gorloks ahead 5-4 in their 6-4 victory versus Eureka College. She finished 1-for-4 in that game with two RBI and two runs scored. Washam, who had four multi-hit games last week, hit 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, one double, one triple and one home run in Webster's 6-5 extra innings loss to Millikin University.

Greenville College's Dana Fleshren, a senior from Belleville, Ill., has been named the SLIAC Softball Pitcher of the Week for the week of April 6-12.

Fleshren, a right-handed pitcher, threw a complete game shutout to go 1-0 on the mound last week. In seven innings of work, Fleshren struck out five batters and allowed two hits and no walks as the Panthers defeated Eureka College 2-0 in game two of a conference double header.

MacMurray College's Betsy Beard, a senior from Jacksonville, Ill. (Routt), has been named the SLIAC Softball Hitter of the Week for the week of April 6-12.

Beard, an outfielder, hit .625 at the plate while helping the Highlanders to a conference sweep over Blackburn College. She went 5-for-8 with two home runs, one triple and two stolen bases.

Beard went 1-for-3 with three RBI in game one of the double header. She then added four hits, three runs scored, two RBI, one home run and one triple in game two.

Maryville University's Jaye O'Dell, a junior from O'Fallon, Mo. (Fort Zumwalt West), has been named the SLIAC Softball Pitcher of the Week for the week of March 30-April 5.

O'Dell, a right-handed pitcher, threw a no-hitter as the Saints defeated Eureka College 4-0 in game one of a double header. In 7.0 complete innings on the mound she struck out seven batters and allowed only two walks. The game was O'Dell's fifth complete game this season and 12th of her career.

Greenville College's Rachel Brewer, a freshman from Mulberry Grove, Ill., has been named the SLIAC Softball Hitter of the Week for the week of March 30-April 5.

Brewer, a first baseman, hit .538 with 10 RBI, three home runs and one double in four games played last week. She went 7-for-13 at the plate, scored six runs and reached base on balls a total of four times. She also had a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage with 27 putouts.

Brewer had a 1.231 slugging percentage, was hit-by-pitch twice and intentionally walked two times last week. She helped power Greenville to a sweep of non-conference opponent Illinois College, in which the Panthers scored 28 runs combined in the double header. Brewer recorded two home runs and finished 3-for-3 with four RBI in Greenville's 13-11 come-from-behind victory versus Fontbonne University.

Webster University's Gina Trapani, a senior from Herrin, Ill., has been named the SLIAC Softball Pitcher of the Week for the week of March 23-29.

Trapani, a right-handed pitcher, went 2-0 with a 1.00 ERA last week. She pitched two complete games and struck out a total of 10 batters.

Trapani recorded four strikeouts and allowed no earned runs in Webster's 3-1 non-conference win over Blackburn College. She also struck out six batters, while allowing three hits and two earned runs in the Gorloks' 8-3 win versus Fontbonne University.

MacMurray College's Jen Ogden, a freshman from Springfield, Ill., has been named the SLIAC Softball Hitter of the Week for the week of March 23-29.

Ogden, a designated player, went 10-for-13 at the plate for a .769 batting average in four games played last week. She recorded six RBI's, one double and one home run as the Highlanders went 0-4 on the week.

Mar 16-22 Kelsey Brandt Eureka Jr Morton, Ill./Morton

Eureka College's Kelsey Brandt, a junior from Morton, Ill., has been named the SLIAC Softball Pitcher of the Week for the week of March 16-22.

Brandt, a left-handed pitcher, went 1-2 with a 1.02 earned run average in four appearances on the mound last week. She started three games, pitched two complete and recorded one shutout as the Red Devils went 2-4 on the week. Brandt struck out 10 batters, gave up 11 hits, walked two batters and allowed only one extra base hit (double) in 17.2 innings of action.

Brandt recorded her fourth career shutout and tied her career-high with six strikeouts in Eureka's 2-0 victory versus Rockford College in game one of their double header. In that game she allowed only three hits. Brandt pitched 2.2 innings of scoreless relief in game two versus Rockford, in which Eureka lost 6-5.

Mar 16-22 Evelyn Drummond Maryville (Mo.) Jr DeSoto, Mo./DeSoto

Maryville University's Evelyn Drummond, a junior from DeSoto, Mo., has been named the SLIAC Softball Hitter of the Week for the week of March 16-22.

Drummond, a 5-8 shortstop, went 8-for-16 at the plate for a .500 batting average in five games played last week. She drove in six runs, scored six runs, had three walks and recorded one double and one home run.

Drummond hit her first home run of the season in Maryville's 5-1 loss to Webster University. She then went 3-for-4 at the plate and tallied three RBI as the Saints defeated Webster 11-7 in the second game of the double header. Drummond, who has had five multi-hit games this season, is currently on a five-game hitting streak.

Maryville University's Alyssa Thompson, a freshman from Crestwood, Ill. (Marist), has been named the SLIAC Softball Pitcher of the Week for the week of March 9-15.

Thompson, a right-handed pitcher, pitched her second complete game of her career. She went 9.0 full innings on the mound in a 3-2 loss to the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. Thompson allowed five hits, one walk and only one earned run, while striking out six batters. Maryville won the first game of the twinbill, 3-2.

Mar 9-15 Dana Vahey Webster Sr Florissant, Mo./Hazelwood West

Webster University's Dana Vahey, a senior from Florissant, Mo. (Hazelwood West), has been named the SLIAC Softball Hitter of the Week for the week of March 9-15.

Vahey, a catcher, hit .381 with eight hits in 21 at-bats in six games played last week. She tallied three runs, three doubles, one home run and five RBI. She was also 3-of-4 in stolen base attempts and had 23 putouts and one assist for a perfect 100 percent fielding percentage.

The Gorloks went 1-5 last week, with their lone victory a 4-2 decision versus the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in their final game of the week. After Webster fell behind 2-0 in the top of the first, Vahey hit a two-out grand slam in the bottom of the inning, ultimately securing the victory for her squad.

Mar 2-8 Megan Sperry Webster Sr Clarkston, Mich./(Clark CC)

Webster University's Megan Sperry, a senior from Clarkston, Mich. (Clark CC), has been named the SLIAC Softball Pitcher of the Week for the week of March 2-8.

Sperry, a right-handed pitcher, struck out nine batters and threw a complete game in the Gorloks 7-3 victory over Lake Forest College. She threw 7.0 complete innings, giving up eight hits, three earned runs and three walks.

Webster went 2-2 last week, with their win over Lake Forest and an 8-0 shutout against Mt. St. Joseph College.

Mar 2-8 Sarah Graham Maryville (Mo.) Fr Eureka, Mo./Eureka

Maryville University's Sarah Graham, a freshman from Eureka, Mo., has been named the SLIAC Softball Hitter of the Week for the week of March 2-8.

Graham, an outfielder, hit .470 in 10 games played last week. She went 16-for-34 at the plate with nine runs scored, six RBI, five doubles and two home runs. She was also a perfect 100 percent in the field, with 11 putouts and one assist.

Graham hit a home run in her first collegiate game versus Neumann College. She also went 3-for-4 with two doubles in the Saints 8-2 victory against Muhlenberg College. Graham, who has recorded a hit in all 10 of Maryville's games, added two RBI in an 11-3 win over the College of Saint Benedict.

Maryville finished 6-4 at the Rebel Spring Games in Kissimmee, Fla. They defeated two NFCA Top 25 teams, including a 6-4 win against No. 25 York College (Pa.) and a 2-0 victory versus No. 13 Muskingum College.
