The Greenville College volleyball team won the 2010 St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) tournament championship for the first time in school history Saturday night as the Lady Panthers (26-5) swept Webster in three sets 25-15, 25-16, 25-20. Greenville advances to the NCAA tournament for the first time and becomes the first women's team in Greenville College history to play in the NCAA tournament.

LOUIS - The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) Volleyball All-Conference Teams and award winners for the 2009 season were announced today (November 7) during the All-Star Trophy Awards Ceremony following the SLIAC Tournament Championship. Greenville College's Jessica Dothager has been named the Player of the Year, while the Panthers' Tricia Gall was named Newcomer of the Year. LOUIS - Defending St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) regular season and tournament champion Webster University has been picked as the pre-season favorite in the 2009 SLIAC Volleyball Coaches' Pre-Season Poll. The Gorloks, who went undefeated at 16-0 last season and posted a 23-6 overall record, will look to capture their third consecutive regular season championship.
