2012 Women's Track & Field Performers of the Week

Jenny Howard (Webster)
Webster University's Jenny Howard, a freshman from
Florissant, Mo. (Duchesne), has been named the Women's Track
Athlete of the Week for the week of April 16-22. This marks the
second time this season that she has earned the honor.
Howard became the first Webster track athlete to win two events in one meet. She placed first in both the 100m and 200m at the Rose-Hulman Twilight Meet with times of 12.78 and 26.14 seconds respectively.

Lyssa Winslow (Principia)
Principia College's Lyssa Winslow, a freshman from
Londonderry, N.H., has been named the Women's Field Athlete of the
Week for the week of April 16-22. This marks the second consecutive
week and third time overall this season that she has earned the
honor.
Winslow posted a distance of 35.81 meters in the discus throw and 10.96 meters in the shot put to place fourth in both events at the Rose-Hulman Twilight Meet.

Eroica Stackhouse (Webster)
Webster University's Eroica Stackhouse, a sophomore from
Tipton, Ind., has been named the Women's Track Athlete of the Week
for the week of April 9-15.
Stackhouse set a Webster school record in the 5000m run with a time of 19:37.39 at the Billiken Invitational. She placed 13th out of 28 runners, topping her previous best time by more than 10 seconds.

Lyssa Winslow (Principia)
Principia College's Lyssa Winslow, a freshman from
Londonderry, N.H., has been named the Women's Field Athlete of the
Week for the week of April 9-15.
Winslow posted a distance of 37.19 meters (122-0 feet) in the discus throw, and she placed second in the shot put, posting 11.25 meters (36-11 feet) at the Billiken Invitational.

Sarah Ogar (Westminster (Mo.))
Westminster College's Sarah Ogar, a sophomore from Mexico,
Mo., has been named the Women's Track Athlete of the Week for the
week of April 2-8.
Ogar finished 2nd out of 26 runners in the 800 meter at the Central Methodist Invitational. Her time of 2:22 also broke the Blue Jays' record, which Ogar had set last season.

Casey Powell (Principia)
Principia College's Casey Powell, a junior from Colorado
Springs, Colo., has been named the Women's Track Athlete of the
Week for the week of March 26-April 1.
Powell set a new school record in the women's 1500 meter run with a time of 4:48.21 at the Washington University (Mo.) Invitational. She was the top runner from the SLIAC, and her time currently places her 40th nationally in NCAA Division III.

Tess Rountree (Principia)
Principia College's Tess Rountree, a freshman from Paso
Robles, Calif., has been named the Women's Field Athlete of the
Week for the week of March 26-April 1.
Rountree placed ninth in the Heptathlon with a total of 4047 points, which places her second on Principia's all-time top 10 list. She posted a second place finish in the Shot Put with a throw of 11.07 meters and a third place finish in the High Jump with a height of 1.59 meters. She also threw a distance of 28.43 meters in the Javelin and had a distance of 4.40 meters in the Long Jump. In the track events, Rountree recorded times of 27.67 seconds (200m), 16.63 seconds (110m Hurdles) and 2:39.61 (800m).

Jenny Howard (Webster)
Webster University's Jenny Howard, a freshman from
Florissant, Mo. (Duchesne), has been named the Women's Track
Athlete of the Week for the week of March 19-25.
Howard set school records in both the 100-meter and 200-meter at the Rhodes Invitational. She posted a time of 12.53 seconds in the 100m and 26.07 seconds in the 200m to place ninth and sixth respectively.

Gretchen Rieger (Webster)
Webster University's Gretchen Rieger, a senior from
Trenton, Ill. (Wesclin), has been named the Women's Field Athlete
of the Week for the week of March 19-25.
Rieger won the javelin at the Rhodes Invitational with a throw of 33.35 meters. It was her first competition this season, and she placed first out of 17 competitors made up of NCAA Division II and III athletes.

Sarah Koestner (Westminster (Mo.))
Westminster College's Sarah Koestner, a sophomore from
Lohman, Mo. (Russellville), has been named the Women's Track
Athlete of the Week for the week of March 12-18.
Koestner placed first in the 3000-meter run at the Central Methodist Open. She posted a time of 11:04.38, eight seconds ahead of the second place runner.

Lyssa Winslow (Principia)
Principia College's Lyssa Winslow, a freshman from
Londonderry, N.H., has been named the Women's Field Athlete of the
Week for the week of March 12-18.
Winslow set a new school record with a mark of 38.40m (126-00) in the discus throw. She placed third at the Rhodes Open, and her throw currently ranks 14th in NCAA Division III.
