Townsend Earns United Soccer Coaches All-Region Honors

Westminster College's Paige Townsend has been named 2017 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III Women's Soccer All-Central Region. Townsend is the lone representative from the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference to earn the honor this fall, earning Third Team recognition.

Townsend, a senior from Nixa, Mo., capped her four-year Blue Jay career with a 19 goal and 9 assist season this past fall. She led all SLIAC players in scoring, netting 11 of her goals during conference play. Townsend finished the season with 47 total points, recording at least one point in all but three games this year. She had four multi-goal games including a school record four goals in a game against Principia College. Townsend was named the 2017 SLIAC Offensive Player of the Year, becoming the first Westminster player in program history to take home the award.
