2012 Men's Track & Field Performers of the Week

Wylie Mangelsdorf (Principia)
Principia College's Wylie Mangelsdorf, a sophomore from
Palmer, Alaska, has been named the Men's Track Athlete of the Week
for the week of April 16-22. It marks the second consecutive week
that he has earned the honor.
Mangelsdorf won the 3000m steeplechase at the Rose-Hulman Twilight Meet last Friday with a time of 9:30.98, beating his own personal best by three seconds. He is currently second on Principia's all-time top 10 list and 40th in the nation.

Kyle Jenkins (Spalding)
Spalding University's Kyle Jenkins, a freshman from
Louisville, Ky. (Male), has been named the Men's Field Athlete of
the Week for the week of April 16-22. This marks the third
consecutive week that he has earned the honor.
Jenkins won both the discus throw and shot put at the Rose-Hulman Twilight Meet. He posted a mark of 46.75 meters to place first out of 30 competitors in the discus. Jenkins also had a throw of 15.29 meters in the shot put to place first out of 26 competitors, marking his first win in the shot put this season.

Principia College's Wylie Mangelsdorf, a sophomore from
Palmer, Alaska, has been named the Men's Track Athlete of the Week
for the week of April 9-15.
Mangelsdorf posted a time of 15:09.77 in the 5000m run at the Billiken Invitational. He and teammate Drew Clark paced the first half of the race, as Mangelsdorf finished the remainder of the race at a moderate pace.

Kyle Jenkins (Spalding)
Spalding University's Kyle Jenkins, a freshman from
Louisville, Ky. (Male), has been named the Men's Field Athlete of
the Week for the week of April 9-15. This marks the second
consecutive week that he has earned the honor.
Jenkins won the discus throw with a mark of 49.55 meters at the Cumberland Invitational. Spalding posted a team finish of fifth out of 15 teams competing.

Drew Clark (Principia)
Principia College's Drew Clark, a senior from Hopkinton,
Mass., has been named the Men's Track Athlete of the Week for the
week of April 2-8. This is the second consecutive week that he has
earned the honor.
Clark won the 800 meter at the Washington University Select Meet with a time of 1:52.87. He closed strong, chasing down a runner from Central (Iowa) who had established an early lead of nearly 50 meters. Clark's time now places him 7th nationally in NCAA Division III.

Kyle Jenkins (Spalding)
Spalding University's Kyle Jenkins, a freshman from
Louisville, Ky. (Male), has been named the Men's Field Athlete of
the Week for the week of April 2-8.
Jenkins placed first in the discus throw at the Bellarmine Invitational that included a field of mostly NCAA Division II schools. After posting a preliminary mark of 42.86 meters, he recorded a final throw of 50.86 meters to finish first out of 22 competitors.

Drew Clark (Principia)
Principia College's Drew Clark, a senior from Hopkinton,
Mass., has been named the Men's Track Athlete of the Week for the
week of March 26-April 1.
Clark placed fourth in the men's 1500 meter run at the Washington University (Mo.) Invitational with a time of 3:57.59. He was the top NCAA Division III finisher, and his time puts him at 14th nationally.

Aaron Oberneufemann (Webster)
Webster University's Aaron Oberneufemann, a junior from
Mt. Olive, Ill., has been named the Men's Track Athlete of the Week
for the week of March 19-25.
Oberneufemann posted a time of 50.90 seconds in the 400-meter at the Rhodes Invitational to place seventh out of 27 runners competing. His time is a new school record in the 400m, as he bested the time of 51.07 he ran last season.

Jake Meier (Principia)
Principia College's Jake Meier, a junior from Middlebury,
Ind., has been named the Men's Track Athlete of the Week for the
week of March 12-18.
Meier posted a time of 49.01 seconds in the 400m at the Rhodes Open, giving him the fourth fastest time currently in NCAA Division III. His time was also the second fastest in school history, as placed seventh in the event behind runners from NCAA Division I programs.
