On October 14th, the Blackburn Men's Golf team hosted its own Blackburn Fall Invite. Among the teams competing was conference teams: Iowa Wesleyan University, MacMurray College, and Fontbonne University. The other team competing was Lewis and Clark Community College. The tournament took place at Timber Lakes Golf Course in Staunton Ill.
Blackburn looked to continue their winning streak after just winning the Iowa Wesleyan Fall Invite the week prior. The Beavers pulled through with a harrowing win by one shot over Fontbonne University. Senior, Trenton Easley led the way with a 74, which was one shot shy of the medalist. Following suit was Junior, Anthony Harper who shot a fall season low of 77, which was good enough to earn him fifth place overall. Rounding out the scores for the Beavers was Freshman, Wiatt Jennings with a 78, and Senior, Jordan McMillen with an 82. Blackburn finished with a team score of 311 one shot ahead of Fontbonne's 312.
The spring season schedule is said to be released at a later date.
