Spring is starting to bloom and schedules are in full gear. The conference baseball schedule has begun and Maryville University, Webster University and Blackburn College all currently stand undefeated in the SLIAC. Maryville picked up an early sweep on the road at Westminster College, while Webster handed Fontbonne University their first conference loss. Blackburn shutout Greenville 14-0 on the road last week to record their first conference victory.

SLIAC softball action begins this week with Eureka College playing at MacMurray College and Westminster at Fontbonne.

Greenville's men's tennis squad is 4-3 overall after their spring break trip to Hilton Head, S.C. The Panthers defeated Nichols, Concordia (Wis.) and Gordon, along with Illinois College the week prior. Maryville picked up their first conference victory with an 8-1 defeat versus Webster. It also marked their first win of the season. Westminster's men went 2-2 last week with wins versus Frostburg State and Franklin. Both Greenville and Westminster are scheduled to play at Maryville this week.

Many SLIAC women's tennis squads have yet to see competition this spring. Westminster is 3-4 overall and recorded a 7-2 win at Transylvania last week.
