Dave Pierce |

|
Dave Pierce of Maryville University had the vision to see
what NCAA Division III membership and an NCAA Conference could
do for his school and others in the Illinois-Missouri area and
spearheaded the formation of the conference. He was the Athletic
Director at Maryville from 1983-2002, the Head Men's Basketball
coach there from 1976-1991, and the Golf Coach from 1993-2001.
The Saints golfers won SLIAC championships in 1999, 2000, and
2001, and Maryville hosted the NCAA Division III National Golf
Tournament in 2001. |
