Dr. Meneve Dunham |

|
Dr. Meneve Dunham was the President of Fontbonne University
from 1984-1994. She was instrumental in the formation of SLIAC
in 1989, and later encouraged the growth of the conference from
six schools to eight. This growth made it possible, in 1999, for
the conference to receive Automatic Qualifiers to the NCAA
Tournament in seven sports. The Dunham Student Activity Center
on the Fontbonne campus was built during her tenure and named
after her. |

Walter Schoenke |
| |
|
Walter Schoenke was the first Commissioner of the SLIAC,
serving from its founding in 1989 until 1993. As a longtime
executive in the Astro-Turf Division of Monsanto Chemical
Company, he brought a wealth of experience in athletics to the
leadership of the conference. |
