College), has been named the SLIAC Men’s Tennis Player of the Week
for the week of April 14-20.
Batchelor went undefeated at 3-0 in both singles and doubles play last
week. He won 6-1, 6-2 versus Concordia (Mo.), 6-0, 6-1 versus Greenville
and 6-2, 6-1 versus Webster at #2 singles, while also posting three
straight victories at #1 doubles with teammate Graham Wightman.

Matt Schlueter, a senior from Jefferson City, Mo.
(Helias), has been named the SLIAC Men’s Tennis Player of the Week
for the week of April 7-13. It marks the second time this season that
Schlueter has received the honor.
Schlueter went 1-0 at both #1 Singles and #1 Doubles to help lead the
Saints to a 7-2 victory versus Principia College. He posted a 6-3, 6-1
victory in singles play versus Graham Wightman, who defeated Schlueter
in the second round of the conference tournament last season. Schlueter
and teammate Tyler Tate also posted an 8-5 victory at #1 Doubles to help
the Saints remain undefeated in SLIAC play.

Westminster College’s Andrew Darkow, a junior from
Columbia, Mo. (Rock Bridge), has been named the SLIAC Men’s
Tennis Player of the Week for the week of March 31-April 6.
Darkow won all six of his matches during the week including
three at #2 singles and three at #1 doubles with Chris
Claypool. His singles victories included Conference wins over
Greenville (6-0, 6-1) and Fontbonne (6-0, 6-0), and a
non-Conference win over Cornell, Iowa (6-4, 6-3). Darkow/Claypool
registered 9-7, 8-1 and 8-0 wins over Greenville, Cornell and
Fontbonne, respectively. |

Schlueter went 3-0 at both
#1 singles and #1 doubles. He lost just three games in three the three
matches that included a 6-0, 6-0 win over Greenville, a 6-1, 6-1 win
over Westminster and a 6-0, 6-1 win over Eureka. Schlueter teamed with
Tyler Tate to post doubles wins by scores of 8-2, 8-5 and 8-1 over
Greenville, Westminster and Eureka, respectively. |

March 17-23.
Stanza went 3-1 at
#3/4 singles and 2-2 at #2 doubles last week. He won at both #4 singles
and #2 doubles in the Blue Jays 6-2 victory versus Frostburg State
University and in their 6-3 win versus Franklin College. Stanza was also
the lone singles winner at the #4 position in Westminster's 7-2 loss to
Messiah College. |

been named the SLIAC Men’s Tennis Player of the Week for the
week of March 10-16.
Ray went 4-0
during the week with two wins at #6 singles and two wins at #3
doubles with Josh Brown. In singles play, Ray won 6-0, 6-0 in
the Blue Jays’ 5-4 loss to Missouri Baptist and won 6-3, 6-4 in
the team’s 6-3 loss to Piedmont. Ray/Brown recorded an 8-5 win
against Mo. Bap. and an 8-1 win over Piedmont. |
