Greenville College's Andy Rincker, a senior from
Strasburg, Ill. (Stewardson-Strasburg), has been named the Diamond Sports
SLIAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week for the week of April 27-May 3.
Rincker, a 5-11 right-handed pitcher, posted a 1.12 ERA in two
appearances on the mound last week. He went 1-0 with one complete game.
In 8.0 total innings of action he struck out five batters while allowing
six hits, two walks and one run.
Rincker pitched a complete game in the Panthers
5-1 victory versus Westminster College that helped secure a spot in the
2009 SLIAC Tournament. Greenville finished 3-1 on the week, with their
lone loss a non-conference defeat to Washington University-St. Louis. |

Rancho Santa Fe, Calif., has been named the Diamond Sports SLIAC Baseball Hitter of
the Week for the week of April 27-May 3.
Cheatham, a 6-2 second baseman, went 5-for-9 at the plate for a .556
batting average in three games played last week. He recorded three runs,
three RBI and three home runs, while also reaching base on balls four
times.
Cheatham had one home run in each of the Panthers' three games versus
Fontbonne University last week. Principia went 1-2 versus the Griffins
to finish 8-16 in conference play for the season. |

Maryville University's Greg Schwartz, a
junior from
Chesterfield, Mo. (Parkway Central), has been named the Diamond Sports
SLIAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week for the week of April 20-26. This is
the second time this season he has earned the honor.
Schwartz, a 5-9, left-handed
hurler, was 1-0 and struck out a career-high 12 batters in a 3-2
victory versus Principia College. He pitched only the second
complete game of his career, while surrendering three hits, two
runs and no walks.
Maryville
went 4-1 last week and completed the conference series sweep
against Principia. The Saints, who stand at 15-6 in conference
play, also secured a spot in the 2009 SLIAC Baseball Tournament. |

freshman from
Glen Ellyn, Ill. (Glenbard South), has been named the Diamond Sports SLIAC Baseball Hitter of
the Week for the week of April 20-26. This is the second time this
season he has earned the honor.
Biagini, a 6-1, designated hitter, hit
.583 at the plate in six games played last week. He went 14-for-24 with
12 runs scored, 21 RBI, seven home runs and two doubles. He also reached
base on balls three times and was 1-of-2 in stolen base attempts.
Biagini tallied at least one hit in all
six games played, including five multi-hit games. He went 3-for-4 with
five RBI in the Gorloks' 13-9 victory versus MacMurray College. His best
outing was a 4-for-4 performance with seven RBI, three home runs and
three runs scored in a 19-4 win at Eureka College.
Webster went 5-1 last week, with their
lone loss a 16-15 defeat to Washington University-St. Louis. |

April 13-19.
Broughton, a 6-4, right-handed pitcher,
threw a complete game shutout as the Gorloks defeated Maryville
University 5-0. In 7.0 innings of work, he surrendered only three hits,
one walk and struck out six batters.
Webster went 4-0 on the week, picking up
two wins against both Maryville (8-1, 5-0) and Principia (11-0, 13-0).
The Gorloks also remained undefeated in conference play at 18-0 and
extended their current win streak to 10 games. |

sophomore from
Woodland Hills, Calif., has been named the Diamond Sports SLIAC Baseball Hitter of
the Week for the week of April 13-19.
Bowman, a 6-4, third baseman/first
baseman, went 6-for-12 at the plate for a .500 batting average in four
games played last week. He also tallied six RBI, five runs and three
home runs, as the Panthers posted a 2-2 record on the week.
Bowman hit 3-for-3 with five RBI, two home
runs and one walk in Principia's 10-3 victory versus Westminster
College. He had a leadoff, solo home run in the bottom of the second
inning and followed that with a grand slam in the bottom of the third
inning to give the Panthers a 6-0 lead. Bowman went 2-for-4 with one RBI
and one home run in game two of the double header, in which Principia
won 15-8. |

Law, a 6-2, right-handed pitcher, went 1-0
last week, allowing only one infield hit and two walks in six innings on
the mound. He also recorded seven strikeouts as the Gorloks completed
the double header sweep over MacMurray College, 3-0.
Webster went 3-0 for the week, including
an 18-5 victory versus Blackburn College. The Gorloks also remained
undefeated in conference play at 14-0. |

.476 batting average in five games played last week. He tallied eight
runs, four RBI, four doubles, two triples, four walks and three stolen
bases as the Saints went 4-1 on the week.
In Maryville's lone loss, a 7-6 defeat to
Blackburn College in game one of the conference double header, Boyer went
3-for-3 with two runs, one RBI, two doubles and one triple. His two
doubles set a new personal career best. |

Lisle, Ill. (Benet Academy), has been named the Diamond Sports SLIAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week for the week of
March 30-April 5.
Savage, a right-handed hurler, posted a
2-0 record and a 0.75 ERA in two starts on the mound last week. He
pitched 12.0 innings total for the week, including one complete game. He
also struck out 17 batters, gave up eight hits, allowed only two walks
and one earned run.
Savage threw 5.0 innings, striking out
seven batters and surrendering six hits, one walk and one earned run in
the Gorloks 15-5 win over Blackburn College. He pitched 7.0 complete
innings in Webster's 8-1 victory versus Fontbonne University. Savage
struck out 10 batters, allowed two hits and one walk in the win.
Webster went 5-1 overall last week, with
their lone loss a 7-6 defeat to NCAA Division II University of
Missouri-St. Louis. The Gorloks also remained undefeated in conference
play at 11-0. |

Biagini went 3-for-5 with two RBI in
Webster's 7-6 loss to NCAA Division II University of Missouri-St. Louis.
He then went 4-for-4 with one double and one run scored in the Gorloks
17-2 win in game one of their double header versus Fontbonne University. |

Greenville College 10-1. He allowed just four hits in seven complete
innings on the mound, while striking out a career-high 10 batters.
Webster went 3-1 on the week, sweeping
Greenville in their conference series, 13-7, 12-4 and 10-1. |

Fuiten, a 6-1, left-handed, outfielder,

run in four games played last week. He finished the week with a .667
batting average, striking out only once and reaching base on balls three
times.
Fuiten currently holds a six-game hitting
streak and recorded a season-high three hits in two games last week.

Westminster College (Mo.) 8-0 in game one of their conference double
header. In 7.0 innings on the mound, Kollack allowed just one hit and
walked only one batter as he improved to 2-0 on the season. |

the Week for the week of March 16-22.
Koerner, a 6-0 shortstop, went 12-for-21 at the plate for a .571 batting
average in six games played last week. He recorded seven runs, five
doubles and two RBI to help the Red Devils to a 3-4 record on the week.
Koerner went 4-for-4 with two runs and a double in Eureka's 12-11 loss
to MacMurray last week. He led off the top of the seventh inning with a
single and run scored in the Red Devils two-run rally that tied the game
at 11. Koerner also went 4-for-4 with three runs, one RBI and a double
in Eureka's 13-6 loss in 11 innings to Blackburn College. In that game
he reached base all six times he stepped to the plate, while also
scoring the tying run in the bottom of the ninth on a wild pitch. |

Raffles, a right-handed pitcher, went 2-0 in two appearances last week.
He struck out 12 batters in a total of 5.2 innings of work, while
allowing only three hits and four walks.
Raffles pitched 2/3 inning of relief in Principia's 14-13 win over St.
Louis Christian College. He entered the game in the top of the 9th and
pitched out of a bases loaded and one out jam by striking out two
consecutive batters. He also started and worked 5.0 innings against
Lincoln Christian, striking out 10 batters and allowing only three hits. |

Week for the week of March 2-8.
Bunton, an outfielder and left-sided hitter, went 11-for-31 at the plate
for a .354 average in nine games played last week. He scored 13 runs and
recorded 11 RBI, four home runs, two triples and one double, while also
reaching base on balls six times and tallying one sacrifice fly. Bunton,
who went 3-of-3 in stolen base attempts last week, was a perfect 100
percent in the field with 13 putouts and one assist.
Bunton slugged a career-high two home runs in Maryville's first game
versus the University of Wisconsin-Platteville this past weekend. He
also tallied a career-high four RBI in that game and finished 3-for-5 in
both games of the double header versus the Pioneers.
Maryville went 3-6 last week. The Saints swept Cornell College this past
Saturday, including a 23-5 victory in game two.
