SLIAC ANNOUNCES ATHLETES OF THE WEEK FOR DECEMBER 17-30

ST. LOUIS – The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) has announced the Athletes of the Week for the week of December 17-30.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
Webster University’s Katy Meyer, a freshman from St. Louis, Mo. (Parkway Central) has been named the SLIAC Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for the period of December 17-30.

Meyer, a 5-10 forward, recorded her first career double-double in the Gorloks 67-64 come-from-behind victory over Missouri Baptist on Dec. 29.  Meyer scored 20 points (on 8-of-16 shooting from the floor and 2-of-2 from the free throw line) and also grabbed 15 rebounds including six offensive boards. 

With her team trailing by seven points at the half, Meyer scored 13 of her team-high 20 points and grabbed 10 of her game-high 15 rebounds in the final 20 minutes to lead Webster to the three-point victory.
