SLIAC ANNOUNCES ATHLETES OF THE WEEK FOR NOVEMBER 26-DECEMBER 2

ST. LOUIS - The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) has announced the Athletes of the Week for the week of November 26-December 2.

MEN'S BASKETBALL
Eureka College's Mark Darnall, a junior from Lake Mills, Wis., has been named the SLIAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the week of November 26-December 2. It is the second consecutive week that Darnall has received the honor.

Darnall, a 6-3, guard, averaged 17.0 points and 6.0 rebounds in one game played last week. His 17 points was a game-high as the Red Devils lost to Dominican University (Ill.) 57-49. Darnall, who shot 35.0 percent from the field and 33.3 percent from three-point range, was only one rebound off from his career-high of seven rebounds.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
Blackburn College's Meghan Polston, a junior from Park Ridge, Ill. (Maine South), has been named the SLIAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the week of November 26-December 2.

Polston, a 5-10, forward, posted a double-double with a game-high 25 points and 10 rebounds as the Beavers lost to Trinity International University, 80-60. She also had four steals, one assist and one block in the game, while shooting 12-of-17 (.706) from the field and 1-of-1 (1.000) from the charity stripe.

Polston is now only 22 points from becoming the ninth 1,000-point scorer in Blackburn women's basketball history.
