MACMURRAY COLLEGE'S NEIL COMPTON SURPASSES 1,000 POINTS


JACKSONVILLE, Ill. - MacMurray College basketball Highlander Neil Compton, 6'4" shooting guard/forward, reached the 1,000-point plateau in his career on February 9, 2008, during the game at Westminster College, Fulton, Mo.

Compton, co-captain and stand out from Shelbyville High School, scored his 1,000th point on his 17th point into the game. He went on to score 25 points against Westminster. Compton has consistently been the Highlanders' high-shooter, averaging 17.2 points per game.

Compton, a senior majoring in Business, is the son of Steve and Carol Compton of Shelbyville, Ill.
