PROFANCIK NAMED DIII PING SECOND TEAM ALL-AMERICA

HUNTSVILLE, Ala.-Maryville University men's golfer, senior Nick Profancik (Centralia, Ill.) was named Division III PING Second-team All-America, the GCAA (Golf Coaches Association of America) announced today.

"It was still a little windy in the last round, but Nick played really well and positioned himself well for potential All-America honors," said head coach Glenn Paulus after the final round of competition at the 2009 Men's Golf National Championships.

Profancik finished tied for 15th at the NCAAs with his four-round total score of 296 (75-71-76-74). He was also named the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) Player of the Year for the third consecutive year this season.

He adds his name to an elite group at Maryville as he is now one of the eight Saints that have been named All-American.
